b_3js is a Blender 4.5+ (win & mac) addon to preview & export scenes in threeJS
v1.8.2
- procedural materials
- mesh2sdf experimental
v1.6.6
- SDF displacement
v1.6.2:
- instances (alt-d) corresponds to threeJS instances
- physics (cloth, ragdoll, etc with rapier)
- templates (multi-scenes per page, pov navigation, scroll to play anim)
- lazy loading per scene & per page
- support for SDF-R (16.x)
v1.1:
- Complete re-write using tauri/webview for a liveView experience
- The threeJS scene is now directly driven by blender (instead of an intermediary gltf file)
- Includes a panel in shaderEditor to create a gltf-pbr (orm creation on the fly)
- More features (not present in the gltf standard) are exported to the final index.html
- Images can be compressed with ktx2
- Future planned features: transparency, env. maps & reflections, SDF
(The old 0.2.25 version which relied on an electron viewer reading an intermediary gltf on disk has been removed)
Workflow:
1.) Clicking the start button in the panel launches an http server pointing at the scene in memory.
2.) It also display a webview external window which translates the blender scene to threeJS on the fly instantly.
3.) ctrl-shift-p displays lil-gui parameters in the webview for adjusting the blender-threeJS translation
4.) Before exporting the scene must be saved, then an complete index.html (with js, gltf & images) will be created next to it.
Note: The gltf only works with the exported index.html. But more templates are forthcoming.
