Does it work for add-ons split across several files?
Yes. It works with saved .py files and unsaved internal texts, and with several editors open at once. Ctrl + Click a function that's defined in another file to open that file in Blender at the definition, and use Go Back to return.
Will it slow Blender down while I type?
No. Error checking and analysis of plain Python run in a background thread, and suggestions wait until you pause typing. Only the parts that read live Blender data run on the main thread, which takes a few milliseconds per request.
Do I need to install Python or anything else, or be online?
No. Everything it needs ships inside the extension, so there's no Python setup, no external tools and no internet connection. Your code never leaves your computer.
Does it replace Blender's Text Editor or change my shortcuts?
No. It adds features to the Text Editor you already use. Arrow keys, Tab, Enter and Esc only go to the popup while it's open, and the rest of the time they work as usual. The only key it takes over is Ctrl Space, which normally runs Blender's basic built-in autocomplete. You can move it to another shortcut, and you can switch off every feature in Preferences.
