Instead of weaving nodes by hand, you build a stack of shader layers directly from a panel in the sidebar, each with its own blend mode, opacity, and mask. Layers can be nested, renamed, reordered, duplicated, muted, and collapsed into child stacks, and every layer lives in its own node group that you can open and edit with a single click.
All the standard PBR channels are handled automatically: Base Color, Metallic, Roughness, Alpha, Normal, and Emission.
Toggle which channels a layer contributes to, and BlenderShaderLayers rebuilds the compositing network for you under the hood, connecting the final result straight into a Principled BSDF.
The result is a clean, organized node graph that stays manageable no matter how complex your material gets.
