Getting these warnings when trying it in 5.2:

I can't be sure if I saw these in 5.1, but just thought you'd like to know. I could try to fix it and give you a PR but not sure what available channels there are to do that.

Runs pretty good but it needs small fix for linux amd
    in your .config/blender/5.1/datafiles/blender_buddy/llama_bin/
    replace llama-b8830-bin-ubuntu-openvino-2026.0-x64 with
    llama-b9082-bin-ubuntu-rocm-7.2-x64(from SourceForge)
and set ngl to 30-40 in __init__.py line 1511 for 16gb vram

    very useful add-on

i really liked this little guy. even my girlfriend (a newbie blender user) really liked him. I wish he could make a cute little sound or have more cute animations, so he would be like a cute little blender pet :)

Haven't even tried it yet, but know it deserves better feedback for a 4 day old addon that already does exactly as it's describes... not to mention IT'S FREE, so the detailed negative reviews are clearly from someone who thinks highly of themselves more so than this actual addon.

I'll change the starts if i find any issues, but i doubt i will try and stretch it beyond it's current limitations and capabilities

Vulkan GPU acceleration is non-functional on my 9070xt, and the version of ROCm implemented is one that only works on Linux, rather than one that also supports Windows. I will concede that the ROCm constraint is probably a limit of the model used, but the improper Vulkan support is less acceptable.

However, I did want to give it a fair try with a few prompts, albeit ones that took awhile due to using the CPU for its computation. Of the few things I tried with it (make a floor with a plank pattern, make a material that can randomly pick between 2 textures, etc.), it either timed out before getting to an actionable python script or it didn't do what I actually wanted it to do. I've no doubt it can perform more basic tasks, but so can I. My hope was that it could perform tasks that I *could* do, but would find tedious.

Regardless of its level of functionality, I think that even with these issues I could see myself keeping it installed as a "just in case" sort of thing, because I would probably find myself in a situation where it'd be useful. If only GPU support worked the way it's supposed to. As-is, using CPU compute (I suppose I should clarify what I have, which is a Ryzen 9 5900X) it would take less time for me to just google what I want to do and do it myself.

Plus, in further consideration of what it can do and what it's good for, I've realized I wouldn't even use it for much. I could have it do material stuff, except that I actually like that part of the process and wouldn't hand it over. I could have it do geometry node stuff, except that by making node setups myself, I actually know what they do and can effectively iterate toward the desired result, and it's that aspect of iteration that I consider to be the point of geo nodes in my work anyway. And I could have it create objects for me, except I found that it never really created what I wanted it to anyway.

Coming to this conclusion, I have uninstalled it. I will likely not reinstall it unless several improvements are made, which seems unlikely given the quote from the bottom of the documentation tab, "Also note that since this addon is free, I'm not expecting to work much on it (in terms of updates)."

I appreciate your efforts, and frankly this addon is a decent step toward integrating ai with Blender in a way that I could find useful and agreeable, but it also shows how far it has to go.

Thank you again for your time and for reading this, and I hope you have a lovely day.
