Blenspy - Camera Matching From Photos

Null Station in Modeling

Which Blender versions does Blenspy support?

Blender 3.5 and later. Use blenspy.zip for Blender 4.2 and newer, and blenspy-legacy.zip for 3.5 to 4.1. It has been tested on Windows with Blender 3.5.1, 4.2.4 LTS and 5.2.0 LTS. Newer versions are allowed but not yet tested.

Which zip file should I install?

Only one. Blender 4.2 and later: blenspy.zip through Preferences > Get Extensions > Install from Disk. Blender 3.5 to 4.1: blenspy-legacy.zip through Preferences > Add-ons > Install.

Do I need fSpy installed?

No. Blenspy does the camera matching inside Blender and needs nothing else installed. It can export .fspy files for tools that read that format. Blenspy is an independent add-on and is not affiliated with fSpy.

What kind of photos work best?

Photos with clear straight edges, like architecture, interiors and products with hard lines. Organic scenes, panoramas, heavy lens distortion and narrow telephoto shots may need you to place the guides by hand.

Does it build a 3D model of my photo automatically?

No. Blenspy solves the camera. The Draw Plane tool then lets you trace floors and walls into real meshes that line up with the photo, but it does not estimate depth on its own.

How do I get real-world dimensions?

A single photo cannot tell you absolute scale. Set a known distance under the Scale section and Blenspy scales the scene to match.

Where is the panel?

Press N in the 3D View or the Image Editor and open the Blenspy tab in the sidebar.
