Indicators are case-sensitive. Supported formats are:

• .Left/.Right
• .left/.right
• .LEFT/.RIGHT
• .L/.R
• .l/.r

Indicators must always be separated from the rest of the bone name, e.g. bone.L is valid but boneleft is not, bone.R.001 is valid but bone.001r is not.

The character separating bone name parts can be any "word boundary" character. The most common are:

• .
• - (dash)
  
• _ (underscore)
  

but many characters will work, including space or $.
