I’m seeing artifacts or weird shading what can I do?
Make sure your mesh has:
- No duplicated vertices
- Solid normals
- Reasonable scale (use Apply All Transforms)
BQR runs a Merge by Distance (0.0001m) before applying the remesh to help avoid this, but manual cleanup is sometimes necessary.
Will this work on any mesh?
BQR works best on hard-surface objects, base primitives, or imported CAD/scanned models with relatively clean geometry.
Very messy or organic meshes might produce less clean results after remeshing.
Is this addon non-destructive?
Yes! All operations are done via modifiers, so your original mesh remains untouched until you choose to apply them using the "Apply All" button (which creates a backup first).
