Cabin Machine
Blender 5.2 and newer, on Windows, macOS and Linux. It uses Geometry Nodes features that older versions do not have, so it will not run in 4.x.
Yes, both. Materials use bump by default so they look right in EEVEE; in Cycles you can switch them to true displacement (see Documentation > Materials).
Any closed mesh: a cube, an extruded floor plan, a mono-pitch or gable box, an L-shaped house. Model the massing as the outside of the building and Cabin Machine builds inwards from it. An open mesh works too, with the open edge finished in the Underside material.
No. The defaults (charred boards, birch plywood, a standing seam roof) are a modern cabin, but it works on any massing: houses, studios, extensions, rows of houses. Put your own materials in any slot.
Yes: a fixed window, a double window, a sliding door, an entrance door, an internal door and a concealed door. Pick one from the opening's Window list. You can also fit your own window and door models (Window > Your Own...).
Yes. Put the model in its own collection and pick it under Window > Your Own.... Cabin Machine reads the frame's profile and rebuilds it around the opening, so it fits arches and angled heads too. Models made of a clean frame, glass and separate fittings work best.
Yes, with Maintenance > Bake to Mesh, which makes a plain mesh you can export as FBX, OBJ or glTF. The materials are procedural Blender shaders, so bake them to textures in Blender if the other program needs image textures.
No. Cabin Machine is for visualising and designing the building's look in Blender: shell, roof, linings, openings and windows. Use Bonsai (BlenderBIM) or a CAD program for drawings and IFC.
Yes. The cladding uses real wood scans that ship with the add-on and are packed into your .blend. Your renders, animations and client projects made with Cabin Machine are yours to use commercially.
Yes. Every future update is free for everyone who bought Cabin Machine: download the new version from your Superhive library.
Message me through Superhive with your Blender version, what you did and, if you can, the .blend file. Bugs with a file attached are usually fixed in the next update.
