Catpin Blender Add-On
Which Blender versions and operating systems are supported?
CatPin supports Blender 4.2–5.2 on Windows, macOS and Linux. A millimeter-based scene workflow is strongly recommended. Please follow future CatPin updates for compatibility with newer Blender releases.
What is the difference between Draft Mode and Easy Mode?
Draft Mode provides an editable, non-destructive workflow with full control over planned cuts and connectors before the final build. Easy Mode completes a straightforward cut and connector setup in fewer steps and is best suited to light and medium-complexity models.
Does CatPin work for both resin and FDM printing?
Yes. CatPin can prepare models for both resin and FDM printing. Connector clearance must be adjusted for your printer, material and print settings. A small test print is recommended before producing a large final model.
What type of geometry does CatPin require?
CatPin works best with closed, manifold meshes. Open surfaces, internal faces, self-intersections, overlapping geometry and extremely thin areas may cause unreliable Boolean or Remesh results. Apply Scale and Rotation before creating cuts.
Is the CatPin workflow really non-destructive?
Yes. Draft Mode allows you to plan, edit, disable or remove cuts before building the final parts. CatPin preserves the original source model, so you can revise the cutting plan without permanently damaging your original mesh.
