1. How is it different from existing camera rigs?
Strictly speaking, CFC is not a rig. It's far simpler to use. Just keyframe your aerial camera's path. CFC will convert your simple animation keyframes into complex animation curves using a technique similar to that of a flight simulator.
2. How do you add that spinning move, like that of the "Millenium Falcon?"
You need a sister addon called CFS (Cinematic Flight Spin) designed for that.
