Install
  1. Download the ZIP. If two are offered, take the one for your Blender version.
  2. In Blender: Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install (in Blender 4.2 and later, Install from Disk in the drop-down at the top right), and pick the ZIP.
  3. Tick AnimPal ChainMaker in the list to enable it.
Requirements
  • Blender: 4.4 or newer
What it does not do
  • It does not model the chain. You bring the link and blade meshes; ChainMaker rigs them.
  • It does not simulate. The rig is for animation; dynamics such as the simulation in the walk cycle are done in your simulation tool of choice.
  • It does not rig the character holding the chain. Attach the chain rig to your own character rig.
