Color Ramp nodes are incredibly useful for artistic color control, but in many shaders they are often used only for simple value remapping. In those cases, a Map Range node can achieve the same result with a lighter and cleaner setup.
One major advantage of Map Range nodes is that their values can easily be controlled through sockets and external inputs, making them far more flexible for procedural systems, drivers, Geometry Nodes workflows, and animation setups. Color Ramp elements, on the other hand, cannot be directly controlled through sockets, which can limit automation and procedural control in complex node systems.
This tool automatically converts selected Color Ramp nodes into Map Range nodes, helping reduce unnecessary complexity inside shader graphs while improving workflow flexibility. It is especially useful for technical shaders, masks, roughness control, procedural effects, and large node setups where clean organization and parameter control matter.
Designed for artists who want cleaner node trees, better procedural control, and more optimization-friendly materials in Blender.
