What's under the hood?
- ColorDock manages palette books, where each book is dedicated for a character or scene that needs color palette variations.
- Each palette book consists of palettes as well a common list of bindings called pathlists that link the palette colors to selected color properties.
- Each pathlist consists of a collection of pathlists which are basically the RNA data(full data path) of the target color property.
- Whenever a different palette is selected in a book, the color properties linked to the book also change their values to match to the new palette instantly.
Setting up Pathlists:
- Right click on color attribute you want to be controlled
- Click the "Copy Full Data Path" option
- Add a path in the paths section of the desired palette color by clicking on the "+" icon next to it
- Hover or double-click on the path and paste the copied value from the clipboard using "ctrl + v"
