• Side Branches: Broadleaf and Giant trees now grow random side branches from the lower trunk, just below the canopy. Every branch and twig tip carries a small leaf clump.
  • Branch settings: Side Branches (count), Side Length, Side Start, Side Angle, Side Forks.
  • Clump settings: Side Radius, Side Leaf Size, Side Leaf Count.
  • Leaf shape, width, fold, curl, color and custom Leaf Model are shared with the canopy.
  • With the Blobs / Sphere canopy styles there are no leaf cards, so the tips get small blobs instead.
• Side Fruit: fruit can now grow on the side-branch leaf clumps. Fruit size, color and model are shared with the main fruit, and Generate Fruit must be on.
• Side branches use their own random seed, so changing them never rearranges the canopy, leaves or fruit.
• Auto armature now supports side branches, and Rig Branch Depth is available when only side branches are present.
• Defaults: Broadleaf has 3 side branches, Giant has 5 with larger leaves and clumps.

Improved

• The side-branch options in the panel are enabled or grayed out automatically based on tree type and branch count.
