Destructive actions like renaming and deleting were intentionally left out of the extension.

You have full control over your project's files on disk, so feel free to rename or remove any asset file at any time using your file explorer. The change is picked up by the extension automatically within moments, or immediately if you click the Refresh button.

One thing to know if you rename a file: Link and Append match a file to its contents by name, so after renaming, you'll need to rename that same item inside the file to match, otherwise Link/Append will report it as not found.
