EZ Normal Editing was my attempt at making normal editing fun.
The core idea is that all normal directions exist on a sphere's surface.
This addon allows you to select one of those normals and apply it to your mesh selection. I think that's more fun than fiddling around with value fields. :)
But if you like fiddling around with values, I have tried to make that approach as convenient as possible as well.
Designed to make Normal Editing as enjoyable as possible
Just drag your mouse over the sphere to set a new normal direction.

2 types of the Normal Picker sphere

Pin snapping for exact values

Previously applied values shown on the sphere. The pin can snap to them.

A history showing all previously applied directions.
Clicking one applies it to your current mesh selection.

Make named presets for commonly used values and apply them at any time.

Flexible to fit your needs
If you're not a fan of the sphere, no problem! The addon also contain all the other features you might need.
Point to Target lets you point all selected normals at a 3D target.

An eyedropper tool to copy normals from any mesh onto your selection.

Live rotation fields let you nudge normals around X, Y or Z by hand.

Transfer normals from one mesh to another in 3 seconds.

Use the Magic Fix button if you don't need something hand-crafted

However you like to work, there's a tool here for it.
Even blender's default operations plus a couple custom ones.

What is in this pack?
Over 20 dedicated tools and controls, including:
1. A normal picker sphere to set normal directions with ease
2. Various tools to nail the exact direction you want
3. Symmetry options to mirror almost every edit to the other side of your model automatically.
4. A full normals toolbox: recalculate, flip, reset, set from faces, average, mirror, merge, split, split boundary, smooth and align to axis.
5. An improved Point to Target tool
6. A tab to transfer normals in 3 seconds
7. A Magic Fix button
8. An eyedropper for sampling any existing normal
If you're like me and always disliked the traditional ways of editing normals or just wanted something more intuitive and fun, hopefully this addon can provide that for you. :)
