Extremely well designed and a joy to use. Making these shapes used to take forever, but this plugin will get you results in minutes! For realistic characters you will most likely have to sculpt on top of the results, but this gets you so close that it is a no-brainer.

      Hey hun cho,
      thanks for the review!
I am definitely planning to make more videos and tutorials on how to get the best results! They will come in the course of the next week.
Until than, check out the Documentation. I am constantly working on better explanation.
About your question. You can record everything live in the viewport with the AddRoutes. I will include the workflow in the documentation today or tomorrow.
      Thanks again!

Hi, The addon works perfect, but I have the following issue, I can't paarent the face rig to the head bone without it not working properly, there aren't any tutorials of how to fix it and the documentatios doesn't mention it

Hi Duan, thanks for the rating. If you want to report a bug, please use any of the available support channels: https://faceit-doc.readthedocs.io/en/latest/support/
It's likely that you are not using the latest version, because there are currently no other reports of errors in the landmarks process. If this turns out to be a bug, I will fix it asap, but I will need more information.

It's nice to have access to all the ARKit expressions automatically and be able to bake them to shape keys quickly. I'd love if there were built in viseme expressions as well, but I can use the ARKit ones to build my own so it's not a big deal.

    Drawbacks so far:
    * The FAQ mentions compatibility with Autor-Rig Pro but I can't find where the option is to use my existing ARP face rig.
    * None of the landmarks have names so it's unclear which one is supposed to go where once you've begun moving them around.
    * Top and bottom lips weighted together (ex: jaw open emote pulls down the top lip as well and no amount of adjusting the landmarks stops this)
    * The blink expressions don't close the eyes well for my model (ex: eyeball sticking through eyelid, not closing fully, eyelashes flying away from the eyelid) no matter how much tweaking of the landmarks I do. This is not a problem with my ARP face rig after fine tuning weight painting.

Hi there, thanks for the rating. I'd like to address the issues you were having and offer my help in fixing them.
      1. 'Compatibility' with Auto Rig Pro basically means that both Armatures (Faceit and ARP) and Add-ons for that matter, can be used side-by-side. It does not mean that the ARP face rig can be used to generate expressions.
      2. Yes, placing the landmarks is a delicate step. I'd highly recommend to look at the reference in the documentation, first.
      3. If your lips stick together, then this is most probably an issue in your geometry and not in Faceit. If you'd reach out, I'm sure we will solve this.
      4. Again, please reach out over discord or here at blendermarket. If rigging and weight painting fails, you can still use the non-destructive sculpting feature to achieve some perfect blinks.

For the most part, It works as advertised, but it has problems with the more stylized, Anime like, faces especially where the eyeballs aren't spheres, So in my case, it isn't a complete replacement for my workflow but It will still save me time.

Hi Vitor, thanks for the feedback. I would appreciate if you would reach out for help/support. I will be answering within a few hours! There is most probably a solution to the problem you are describing.

    Using Blender 4.1.1

Displeased with results of weight paints after hours of trial & error doing the setup, generating & binding of the face rig. The weights seem to not mirror correctly, moves eye bones offset, and eye-blink controls would squash in unwanted ways. It also squashed the nose but I was able to get around it by extending the control verts.

I like the setup process & smoothing, but if I need to handle proper weight paint mirroring myself then I might as well use Rigify instead. In my opinion, this isn't worth the 78 bucks, but if an update fixes it then I can change my mind.

Until then I'm just gonna go back to making shape keys and drivers

Hi Steve, if you need help, submitting a support request is a better place. You can reach me any time via the "Message Creator" button on the side. Faceit isn’t a weight painting add-on, and automatic weights will only get you so far. The most important factors for good results are correct setup and accurate landmark placement, and I’m happy to help you with both.
