Food Packaging Studio - 12 Packs, Lit Scene And Dielines
Open it and render. Made in Blender 5.2.1 LTS with Cycles. Textures are packed into the .blend, so there is nothing to relink. The README_FIRST.txt inside the download says the same thing at more length.
What is in the scene
- 00_SET - cyclorama, framing target, label focus empty.
- 00b_NEGATIVE_FLAGS - three black cards, hidden from render. Un-hide them to cut reflections on glass and metal.
- 01_LIGHT_A_SOFTBOX - lighting setup A, active. Soft key from the left, bounce fill from the right, rim from behind. 130 + 22 + 70 W. This is the look in every preview.
- 03_LIGHT_C_EDITORIAL - lighting setup C, excluded by default. Harder key, strong rim, faint backdrop wash. 64 + 84 + 7 W. Switch by toggling the two collection checkboxes in the Outliner.
- 02c_WINDOW_FILL - one small light that reaches inside the biscuit carton through its die-cut window. It is light-linked to that piece only, so it never spills onto the floor.
- 04_CAMERAS - hero three-quarter 85 mm, straight pack shot 100 mm, orthographic elevation 50 mm, macro 100 mm, top-down 50 mm, plus a free camera. The first five track TARGET_framing: move that empty and they all follow.
- 05a_PIECE_01 to 05l_PIECE_12 - one collection per piece.
- REALTIME_LOD - the reduced meshes, hidden from render.
- 99_SCALE_REFERENCE - a 100 ml bottle, hidden from render, to check scale against your own scene.
Scale and mesh
Real-world scale, every piece on the world origin at Z = 0, named objects, non-overlapping UVs. 173,290 triangles at full resolution, 129,602 in the real-time set.
Pieces 01, 04 and 12 ship at full resolution in the real-time set as well. Their detail is in the geometry rather than in a normal map, so reducing the mesh would delete the detail instead of moving it. The acceptance test measured the maximum distance between the reduced surface and the original and rejected every reduction for those three.
Exposure
Scene exposure is -1.8 EV with the AgX view transform and the High Contrast look. Both lighting setups are calibrated for that. If you change the view transform, re-check your exposure.
