Hair Card Studio (Hair Card Creator Addon for Blender)
What render engines are supported?
The add-on works seamlessly with Cycles and Eevee but i highly recommend Cycles for rendering.
How much control do I have over the hair card parameters?
A lot! You can adjust strand count, length, curvature, spread, clumping, randomness, and others from the panel.
The system is non-destructive, so you can tweak and regenerate until you get the perfect result.
Can I customize materials and colors?
Absolutely.
Hair Card Studio has editable shader setups with root-to-tip color gradients, gloss controls and other material settings.
How easy is it to use? Do I need advanced skills?
Hair Card Studio is designed to be beginner-friendly.
Even if you’ve never worked with hair cards before, titles and features are so easy to access that you don't need anything.
What versions of Blender are supported?
Hair Card Studio is compatible with Blender 4.0 and above.
It may also work in Blender 3.6, but a few features could behave differently or have minor bugs. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest stable release of Blender.
Does Hair Card Studio produce Game-Ready Hair?
Using Hair Card Studio you can make hair cards and render them but there's no Bake option as of now so it can't be fully game-ready, but you can use this tool to generate maps like normal map and others:

What are the known limitations?
No support for Blender 3.6 and below.
There's no baking option for maps like normal map/roughness etc yet.
What exactly is a “hair card” and when should I use hair cards?
Hair cards are flat polygon strips with hair textures applied to them — a common method for creating realistic hair that’s optimized for real-time rendering, video games or animation.
