No. The entire beam distribution is generated procedurally inside the node group, so you shape it with sliders — beam angle, inner/outer edges, color, caustics — without any external photometric files. Chaining modules lets you build rings, cores, and complex multi-lobe profiles from scratch. If you do have a measured .ies file, you can optionally blend it in with the IES Mix slider, but it's never required.
