As an automotive CG artist, I always needed a simple setup for generating specific license plate numbers. A displacement map with a PSD preset was my first solution, but it had limits. So here is a node preset that builds the actual geometry of a license plate for any US state, with any number.

It is super easy to make your own plate, even if you have never opened Blender before.

Under the hood

One clean modifier panel. US plate specs (12" × 6", 7" hole spacing) are built in, so you only see the inputs you need.

Important notes

• The license is okay for commercial use. However, it doesn't allow you to sell produced assets with the addon.
• The file includes various fonts chosen to fit each state's standard. Fonts are not part of the sale and may need additional licensing, depending on your usage.
