Recommended Navigation Workflow

Start with the 00-CINEMATICS collection, select a camera and then hide all collections that are outside the current camera view. For close-up product shots, you can often disable large store construction or repeated shelf elements that are not visible.

3. Cameras

The scene includes 9 prepared cameras. These are intended for fast render setup and product presentation without manually searching for good angles.

  • Camera-010-20mm-INT-CENTER – main wide interior center camera.
  • Camera-020-35mm-INT-CENTER – centered interior camera with depth of field.
  • Camera-030-20mm-INT-SIDE – wide side perspective with depth of field.
  • Camera-040-20mm-INT-DOOR – door-facing interior camera with depth of field.
  • Camera-050-20mm-INT-SIDE – wide side camera without depth of field.
  • Camera-060-35mm-INT-CENTER – tighter centered interior camera.
  • Camera-070-50mm-INT-DETAIL – product detail camera.
  • Camera-080-50mm-INT-DETAIL2 – second product detail camera.
  • Camera-090-50mm-INT-DETAIL3 – third product detail camera.

4. Editing and Individualization

The scene is designed to be editable inside Blender. You can change the store mood, product layout, product colors, shelf arrangement, visuals and material parameters.

Common Customization Tasks

  • Hide product examples: disable the 6-RETAIL-PRODUCTS collection or individual product objects.
  • Change display furniture: move or duplicate the furniture collection instances.
  • Create a cleaner store: hide flower bouquets, product trays, pillows or decorative props.
  • Change the color palette: adjust procedural fabric, leather, metal or plastic materials in the Shader Editor.
  • Replace visuals: swap wall images, product visuals, labels or packaging textures through the connected Image Texture nodes.
  • Adjust lighting mood: edit the spotlights or roof spot collections to create brighter or moodier renders.

Tip

Before making large layout changes, duplicate the scene or save a new version of the file. This keeps the original render-ready setup intact.

5. Instancing System

Several repeated elements are placed as Collection Instances. This keeps the layout easier to manage and allows repeated furniture or lighting elements to be updated from one source collection.

Main Collection Instances

  • FURNITURE-COBO-DESK-01 – repeated desk module.
  • FURNITURE-Combination Option 01 – repeated shelf/display furniture module.
  • FURNITURE-Combination Option 02 – alternate furniture/display module.
  • ROOFSPOT – repeated roof spotlight module.
  • ROOFSPOT-O2 – second roof spotlight variation.

How to Edit Instances

  1. Find the original source collection in the Outliner.
  2. Edit the object inside the source collection if you want all instances to update.
  3. If you need to edit only one copy, select the instance and use Object > Apply > Make Instances Real.
  4. After making an instance real, it becomes independently editable but no longer updates with the source collection.

Important

Collection Instances are useful for performance and consistency. Only make them real when you need unique edits on a single copy.

6. Material System

The scene uses a wide range of node-based materials. Many materials are procedural or semi-procedural and are designed for easy adjustment in Blender.

Useful Material Names

  • MB_PROC-FABRIC-VELVET – velvet-style fabric surface.
  • MB_PROC-FABRIC-JEAN-LILA – purple fabric material used for the floor pillow area.
  • MB_PROC-LEATHER-RDM – randomized leather material.
  • MB_PROC-METAL_CHROME – chrome material for reflective metal objects.
  • MB_PROC-STONE-MARBLE_RNDM – randomized marble-style material.
  • MB_PROC-WINDOW-GLASS-SMU-1 – glass material with rough imperfection texture.

Material Editing Tip

If multiple objects share the same material, changing it will affect every linked object. Duplicate the material first if you want to create a unique variation for one object.

7. Shader-Based Variation

Some materials use shader node groups such as MB_TRUE-RANDOMNESS, MB_Texture_Pick_10, procedural fabric groups, leather groups and metal groups to create material variation and less repetitive product displays.

  • Duplicated product objects may show different material colors or visual variants depending on the shader setup.
  • Visual picker materials can display different images from a defined image set.
  • Leather, fabric and plastic materials can be adjusted directly in the Shader Editor.
  • Use material duplication if you want to lock a specific look for one object.

Note

This is not a procedural store generator. The procedural systems are mainly used inside materials and shaders for variation, surface detail, imperfections and editable product looks.

8. Replacing Visuals, Posters and Packaging

Several materials use image textures that can be replaced with your own visuals. This is useful for custom brand presentations, product labels, poster content or packaging designs.

Relevant Replaceable Visual Systems

  • Visual / Visual.001 – uses MB_Texture_Pick_10 and image textures such as VISUAL-01.jpg to VISUAL-04.jpg.
  • WallImage-RDM – uses image selection for framed wall visuals.
  • MB_CREMESET1-B-PACKAGING-DESIGN – packaging texture based on a PSD file.
  • MB_CREMESET1-C-PACKAGING-DESIGN – second packaging texture based on a PSD file.
  • MB_PROC-METAL_BRUSHEDlabel and MB_PROC-SYNTH-PLASTIC1-nbeige Label – label-based material setups using label grid images.

Replacement Workflow

  1. Select the object that contains the visual or label you want to replace.
  2. Open the Shader Editor.
  3. Find the connected Image Texture node.
  4. Replace the image with your custom artwork.
  5. Keep the original aspect ratio where possible to avoid stretching.
  6. If needed, adjust UVs or Mapping node settings.

9. Lighting Setup

The scene uses two spotlights and repeated roof spot modules. The lighting is prepared for a clean boutique look with focused product highlights.

  • ROOFSPOT – repeated collection instance used for roof lighting.
  • ROOFSPOT-O2 – second roof light variation used as repeated collection instance.

Render Tip

For softer product shots, lower the intensity of direct spotlights and rely more on bounce lighting. For a more editorial look, use the 50mm detail cameras and keep depth of field enabled.

10. Performance Tips

This is a detailed render-ready Blender scene. Some decorative and product objects are intentionally high detail, especially flower bouquets, pillows, perfume objects, boots, mirrors and leather bags.

  • Use Solid View while editing the layout.
  • Disable flower bouquets when they are not visible in the camera.
  • Hide heavy retail product groups while working on the store architecture.
  • Keep collection instances as instances unless unique editing is required.
  • Use the prepared cameras to avoid rendering unnecessary off-screen geometry.
  • Use lower viewport samples for preview and higher samples only for final renders.
  • For close-up shots, hide furniture and products behind the camera.
  • Temporarily simplify glass and mirror materials if viewport performance is slow.

11. Troubleshooting

Textures appear pink Use File > External Data > Find Missing Files and point Blender to the included texture folder. Also check whether the images are packed in the .blend file.
Scene feels slow Hide heavy elements such as flower bouquets, floor pillows, repeated products, perfume objects, boots or mirror details while editing.
Editing one shelf changes multiple shelves The shelf is likely a Collection Instance. Edit the source collection to update all instances, or make the instance real for unique editing.
Only one roof light should change Use Make Instances Real on the selected roof spot instance before editing it independently.
Visuals repeat too often Check the visual picker material, replace the image textures or duplicate the material for a fixed custom graphic.
Glass or mirror looks noisy Increase Cycles samples, enable denoising and reduce unnecessary reflective surfaces outside the camera frame.
Material variation looks unexpected Some shaders use randomized or object-based variation. Duplicate the material and adjust values manually if you need a fixed look.
