  I cannot stress how amazing this add-on is. I do a lot of rendering using Daz3d assets, game models, and high-quality hdris and procedural textures. This has COMPLETELY nullified the dreaded "GPU memory" middlefinger Blender would launch at me. One button press, ONE, and three minutes later I'm rendering. I have never had something work so flawlessly, so well, so easily without having to do a bunch of tweaks. Thank you so much for whatever python wizardry your used to conjure this up. 5 stars x 2.

  Amazing addon - it works really well and lets me render complex scenes with my 8 GB of VRAM. Much faster than downscaling/decimating by hand, especially if you're rendering multiple frames.

  Cool feature, but I keep hitting an error that prevents loading the scene I used it on:
  AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'spec' while loading with OpenImageIO

  This is most likely caused by the image being corrupted and OpenImageIO failing to load it. We have improved the error reporting, the changes will be released in an upcoming version of memsaver.

  I installed this add-on, but when I wanted to enable the addon, an error appeared:

  Hi, please update all polygoniq addons to latest versions and restart Blender. This is caused by an interaction of an old version of one of our addons and latest memsaver. Go to our discord https://polygoniq.com/discord if you need more help.

  set quality to 1 to 3 .
  it will provide you same quality render with low GPU consumption

  I've been waiting for something like mip mapping in Blender for ages. i did the resizing by screen size maually for some time and that was just pain. This memsaver really does the trick! Installing it was straightforward and I subjectively felt a performance right away. still measuring but very happy so far. I didn't even notice any visual downgrade, which is awesome, and my render times actually improved by measures. I tried some scenes i could only render on company hardware and was able to convert them to run on my home machine too without running out of vram constantly.

  I'm still getting the hang of it, but I'm pretty excited to see how this plugin can fit into my workflow long term.

  For the cost of 9 bucks, it's a great deal! Saving me quite a lot of time optimizing scenes, now I can go for even bigger scenes.
  I was always anoyed by manualy downscaling textures of the downloaded assets.
  Adaptive image resizing and its preview is just shocking me! 😄
