Build your shot list. Render it all.
Mimosa is a shot-list batch renderer for Blender. Capture the view you're looking at — camera, timeline frame, resolution and collection visibility — as a shot, in one click. Stack your shots into a list, then render them all in one batch.
Furniture on/off, day/night, portrait/landscape, draft/final — captured per shot, rendered in one pass.
What a shot remembers
Every shot keeps four things, together:
- Camera — the active scene camera
- Frame — a timeline frame, for keyframed states like day/night
- Resolution — X/Y, set per shot
- Collections — which collections are visible (furniture, finishes, layout variants)
Press Capture Shot to record the current state. Press Render Shots to batch the whole list.
Why Mimosa
Plenty of tools register cameras and per-camera resolution. Mimosa captures the state of the scene, per shot:
- Collection visibility per shot — furniture vs. empty, finish A vs. finish B, in one batch.
- Day / night per shot — pull keyframed lighting states out of a single timeline as separate cuts.
- Reliable per-shot resolution — each shot renders as its own job, so its resolution always applies.
- Multi-scene queue — line up several scenes and render them back to back.
It works with your compositor, not against it
Mimosa doesn't take over your output. It gives each shot a sequential filename, then lets Blender's render settings and your Compositor File Output nodes do exactly what you set them to — AOVs, multi-pass, EXR, color management, path branching. Already built a post pipeline? Mimosa drops straight into it.
Who it's for
Archviz, product and interior CG artists who shoot one scene from many angles, in many states, at many resolutions — and want it rendered in a single batch.
Requirements
Blender 4.x and 5.x — including the 4.2 and 4.3 LTS releases. Tested on 4.2, 4.5 and 5.1. Render-engine independent: Mimosa triggers Blender's own render, so it works with whatever engine your scene uses (Cycles, EEVEE, etc.).
