Modox

Epicloot in Modeling

What is Modox?

Modox is a Blender addon designed to speed up routine modeling actions by cutting down on repetitive clicks and complex hotkey sequences. Built to complement rather than replace specialized tools or established pipelines, Modox seamlessly enhances your daily workflow by making standard operations faster and more efficient.

What does "Uses Transform Orientations" or "Uses Transform Pivot Points" mean?

If an operator uses Transform Orientations, it will respect the active orientation when performing its action. For example, if the mesh object is rotated, using Align Rotation with Local set as the Transform Orientation will align the selected mesh‑island geometry to the object’s rotated axes. Most Modox operators that work with axes follow the active Transform Orientation.

The same applies to Transform Pivot Points. For instance, using Align Center to ground selected geometry to Z = 0 with Bounding Box as the pivot will move all selected geometry as a single unit. However, if Individual Origins is active, each separate piece of geometry not on the same mesh island will be grounded to Z = 0 individually.

Why is the Boolean operation named Subtract instead of Difference?
Subtract is shorter and more compact for the user interface. This lets the interface avoid having to cut off words and sentences with the "..." for that much more length.
