Nebula Forge - Procedural Nebula Skies That Light Your Scene
I generated a sky and now my scene is almost black. Is it broken?
No — that is astronomy, and there is a slider for it.
A real nebula is genuinely dim: linear radiance around 0.01–0.2. A sky exposed so it looks correct behind the camera simply does not put out enough light to illuminate your models. Most space backdrops sidestep this by being wallpaper rather than light.
Raise Light Boost. It multiplies the sky for lighting only, leaving the visible backdrop pixel-identical, so you can light the scene properly without blowing out the nebula. It re-applies instantly with no re-bake. Try 20–40 for a scene lit by nothing else.
