Ocean Floor Variety Pack

Maggie in Game Ready

Ocean Floor Variety Pack is a mixed underwater asset collection built to help you block out, fill, and refine ocean-floor scenes without relying on a single asset type. With 24 starfish, 6 seahorses, and 16 varieties of coral, sea urchins, and anemones, it gives you the variation needed to break repetition and build fuller reef and seabed layouts inside Blender.

The pack is structured around practical scene-building use. Starfish cover both hero-detail and environment-fill roles, with highpoly versions for closer rendering, lowpoly versions for background use, and a Geometry Nodes setup that distributes them across any object for faster ground clutter. Coral, urchins, and anemones include both individual pieces and clusters, so you can either art direct placement by hand or fill larger areas quickly with less setup.

Seahorses add creature coverage to the pack, with both lowpoly and highpoly versions included in the Blend and FBX files. Their matched UVs and texture sets make it easier to move between versions depending on the shot, while rigged armatures support posing and animation-oriented workflows. Across the pack, the asset mix is broad enough to support scene dressing, close-up composition, and larger underwater environment builds from a single collection.

Key Features

  • Includes 24 starfish, 6 seahorses, and 16 varieties of coral, sea urchins, and anemones
  • Built to cover multiple underwater scene roles: hero-detail assets, background assets, clustered fill, and creature placement
  • Starfish include highpoly versions for close-up rendering and lowpoly versions for larger-scene background use
  • Included Geometry Nodes setup distributes starfish over any object for faster seabed and ground-clutter population
  • Coral, urchins, and anemones include both individual pieces and cluster variations for quicker area filling
  • Seahorses include lowpoly and highpoly versions with matching UV maps and texture sets
  • Seahorse models are rigged with 33-bone armatures for posing and animation workflows
  • FBX files are labeled by version, with separate highpoly and lowpoly exports where provided

Technical Notes

  • Seahorse models include 4K PBR textures: color, bump, subsurf, and alpha maps
  • Seahorse UV layouts are non-overlapping
  • Seahorse armatures contain 33 bones: 4 head bones, 4 fin bones, and 25 body/tail bones
  • Starfish highpoly versions contain between 1,510 and 26,501 vertices per model
  • Starfish lowpoly versions contain between 100 and 2,800 vertices per model
  • All starfish models are UV unwrapped with non-overlapping islands
  • Highpoly starfish use clean topology with quads, with n-gons filling the center on undersides
  • Lowpoly starfish use tris rather than quads
  • Each starfish includes its own 2048 x 2048 color map and uses a procedural normal map
  • Starfish color maps, materials, and preview renders are labeled with the corresponding starfish ID number
  • Coral, sea urchins, and anemones are subdivision-ready
  • Rendered preview images use two layers of subdivision for close-up images
  • For background use, subdivision can be removed on coral, urchin, and anemone models to improve performance without changing the intended distant look
  • 2K color map textures are included for each coral, urchin, and anemone model and labeled to match the mesh number
  • UVs for coral, urchins, and anemones are fully unwrapped and non-overlapping
  • Three of the coral, urchin, and anemone models include alternate color varieties
  • A normal map is shared between multiple coral, urchin, and anemone models

Models are subdivision-ready. The rendered preview images use two layers of subdivision for close-up images. If using the models in a background, subdivision can be eliminated entirely to improve performance without affecting the look of the model. Included are individual coral pieces as well as clusters of each variety (both types are visible in the preview images). The clusters can be used to quickly fill an area without too much fiddling.

This pack is strongest when you want one library to cover multiple underwater build stages. Use starfish highpoly models for close shots, lowpoly starfish for wider environments, and the included Geometry Nodes setup to scatter them across rocks, seabeds, or other surfaces. Use coral clusters to establish broader reef mass quickly, then layer in individual coral, urchins, and anemones for more deliberate composition. Seahorses add a rigged creature element that can be posed for still renders or brought into animation workflows.
