Offset Edges is a Blender add-on for precise offsetting of selected edges in Edit Mode. It provides controlled edge offset operations without manual extrude and transform steps and is designed to work reliably with complex topology.
The add-on supports two geometry modes: Extrude, which creates new geometry, and Move, which offsets existing edges. Offset distance can be defined by width and depth or by width and angle, with automatic conversion between modes and angle presets.
Offset direction is calculated per vertex using edge tangents, face normals, and adjacent geometry. The Follow Face option allows the offset to respect surrounding faces, with an adjustable angle threshold to detect flat surfaces. Edge Rail alignment can be enabled to constrain vertices along inner edges, optionally limited to end vertices only.
The add-on supports Mirror Modifier workflows, including merge threshold detection and automatic exclusion of edges lying on mirror planes. Axis locking is available for X, Y, Z, or view axis.
Offset Edges operates in Edit Mode, uses the BMesh API, supports edge loops and open edge chains, and provides interactive adjustment with cached geometry for stable performance.
