Orbita – Procedural Planet Generator

Eron Lumbre in Modeling

Can I use the renders commercially?
Yes. Renders and images you make with ORBITA can be used in commercial work: illustration, concept art, film, games and prints. The add-on code is licensed under the GNU GPL v3 or later.
Can I put my own ships or models in front of the planet?
Yes. Everything is regular Blender objects in the ORB_Sistema collection, with a planet radius of 1 m. Add your models to the scene and frame them with the ORBITA camera or your own. The gallery image with an ASTILLERO ship was made this way, with the planet scaled up to real size.
Can I export the planets to a game engine or another 3D app?
The planets are standard Blender meshes, but their look comes from Blender shader nodes, which other software cannot read. ORBITA has no export or texture-baking tools, so to take a planet outside Blender you would need to bake its materials yourself.
Cycles or EEVEE?
Both work. Cycles gives the cleanest atmosphere and glow for final images, and EEVEE is handy for fast previews.
Does it use image textures or download anything?

No. All materials are procedural shader nodes built by the add-on, and nothing is downloaded.
