A Blender 5.0 add-on that saves any selection of nodes as a named preset and places them in the node editor via the N-panel.
Features

Save any node selection as a named preset. Works in Shader, Geometry, Compositor, and Texture node editors. -

Click "Place Preset" and nodes follow your cursor. Left-click to confirm, right-click or Esc to cancel. - Tree-Type Labels
Presets display (SHADER), (GEOMETRY), (COMPOSITOR), or (TEXTURE) so you always know their origin. - Socket Value Preservation
Default values on all input sockets are saved and restored on placement. - Per-File Storage
Presets are stored inside the .blend file. No external files required.
How to Use
Register a Preset
- Open a Node Editor (Shader, Geometry, etc.)
- Select the nodes you want to save .
- Press N and go to the palette_one tab.
- Click Register Selected Nodes.
- Enter a name and confirm.
Place a Preset
- Select a preset from the list.
- Click Place Preset
- Move the cursor over the node editor — nodes follow.
- Left-click to confirm placement.
- Right-click or Esc to cancel.

Notes
- Per-file storage: Presets are saved within the .blend file. Opening a different file starts with a fresh preset list.
- Node Groups: Placed as references. Internal node trees are not duplicated.
