Modeling a staircase by hand means fighting proportions, stringers, landings and railings one piece at a time. Parametric Stairs builds the whole thing for you and rebuilds it every time you change a setting, so you can go from a first idea to a finished staircase in seconds.

Four staircase types

• Open with stringers: treads carried on two side beams
• Closed / masonry: solid steps resting on the ground
• Grand entrance: wide monumental steps with optional cheek walls
• Spiral: wedge treads around a central column, with a true helical handrail

Landings
Add a landing every N steps. Choose straight, quarter turn left or right, alternating turns, or a half turn that doubles back beside the flight below (open stairs). An optional arrival landing finishes the top of the stair.

Railings
Switch them on or off, on the left, the right or both sides. Round or square sections, adjustable posts, handrail extension, and three infill styles: none, horizontal rails or vertical balusters.

Nosing
Turn nosings on or off and set their depth and thickness, so they read as a real overhang.

Live checks
The panel shows riser, tread, total rise, pitch, footprint, flight and landing counts, and the Blondel comfort formula, flagged when you leave the comfortable range.

Presets
Residential, Industrial, Grand Entrance, Half Turn and Spiral. Apply one, then adjust.

Built for production
