Can PowerPin work with bones that are affected by parent or character movement?
Yes. PowerPin works in world space and calculates the required correction for each baked frame. This allows a foot to remain pinned even while the character, armature, parent hierarchy, or path-driven motion continues moving and rotating.
Can I remove the PowerPin correction later?
Yes. Because Bake New Action uses a separate NLA correction Action, the result remains non-destructive. You can mute or remove the PowerPin NLA strip to return to the underlying animation.
Does PowerPin modify my original animation?
No. Bake New Action creates a separate correction Action and combines it with the original animation using Blender’s NLA system. The original animation remains intact, which means the PowerPin correction can be disabled or removed without destroying the underlying animation. With BakeOverride, though, your original animation will be changed.
I can’t see my original keyframes after clicking “Bake New Action”. Are they gone?

No. PowerPin uses Blender’s Non-Linear Animation (NLA) system to keep the process non-destructive.

When Bake New Action is used, the original animation can be pushed down into the NLA Editor, while PowerPin creates a separate correction Action above it. Your original keyframes are still there — they are simply stored in an NLA strip instead of being shown as the currently active Action.

Open the NLA Editor to see both the original animation and the PowerPin correction. You can select the corresponding Action/strip to inspect its keyframes in the Graph Editor by pressing TAB.
