Procedural Anime Hair
The primary reason I created this Geometry Nodes setup was hair animation.
When adding movement to hair on anime-style characters, the complexity increases significantly.
Attempting to animate hair using traditional approaches leads to several challenges:
* **Using Bones:** Control becomes extremely tedious, and workflow speed drops noticeably whenever the number of strands or layers increases even slightly. Adding detailed motion exponentially increases the number of bones and weight painting work, making it labor-intensive.
* **Using Shape Keys:** You cannot dynamically define the split positions of individual hair strands.
* **Using Textures:** Grease Pencil Line Art fails to generate properly, making Line Art unusable.
I developed this procedural hair system to overcome these issues.
This node group is not merely a tool for fast modeling—it was designed with both modeling and animation in mind.
The core objective was to support Grease Pencil Line Art, preserve fixed silhouettes, and still empower animators to craft detailed movement in any direction they desire.
