Quick Erosion Filter

Kollapse3D in Geometry Node Groups

You can download Quick Erosion Filter for FREE on the Gumroad page

Quick Erosion Filter is a Blender node group that instantly adds realistic and detailed erosion shapes to any smooth mesh.

Add the Erosion Filter node group to a geometry nodes modifier and let the magic happen!

This erosion filter is not a simulation, it uses normal information and a series of mathematical calculations to procedurally generate realistic erosion based on the initial geometry, which offers 2 huge advantages over a real erosion simulation:

  1. It is insanely faster, it takes less than a second!

  2. It allows a full and instant control over the erosion parameters (Strength, scale, shape, rounding, seed, etc.)

The "Fast and Gorgeous Erosion Filter" is also explained in his YouTube video and blog post:

The Blend file contains the ErosionFilter node group, 2 examples of the erosion filter applied on a base mesh, and a basic procedural material that you can customize.

Note that the procedural materials used for the renders are not included in the file. They are part of Easy Terrain Generator, in which Quick Erosion Filter is one of the many features, along with dedicated terrain types.
