Can I create loops and export the animation?
Yes. Seamless Loop creates repeating wind animation, while Bake Wind stores the evaluated result for cached playback. You can also export an Alembic (.abc) mesh animation cache. Standard FBX or GLB exports do not automatically include the procedural wind animation.
Can several plants share the same wind?
Yes. Connect plants to a shared wind controller to adjust their strength, speed, direction, turbulence, and gusts together. Each plant keeps its own response, masks, and branch and leaf settings.
Do I need to understand Geometry Nodes?
No. Quick Wind uses a sophisticated Geometry Nodes system, but you control it through a simple sidebar. Choose a preset and adjust the wind strength, direction, gusts, and motion details. Fast Wind Mode provides a lighter option for previews; performance depends on your scene.
Can I use Quick Wind with my own plant models?
Yes. Quick Wind works with your own editable plant meshes. For the best results, the plant should grow along its local Z axis and have enough geometry for smooth bending. Vertex groups let you control wind influence on specific branches and leaves.
Which Blender versions does Quick Wind support?
The current extension supports Blender 5.0 and newer. A separate edition is available for Blender 4.5 LTS. Install the ZIP that matches your Blender version.
