Stop cleaning your scene. Let SceneSanity maintain it while you work.
SceneSanity is a real-time scene hygiene and organization system for Blender.
It monitors supported scene changes and handles repetitive maintenance in the background — including collection-based naming and supported resource deduplication — while keeping heavier inspections and destructive actions under your control.
You create. SceneSanity keeps the scene organized.
Real-Time Scene Hygiene
SceneSanity uses an event-driven workflow instead of continuously rescanning your entire project.
Supported changes are processed incrementally as they happen, with bounded background workloads and event coalescing designed to minimize interruptions while you work.
Automatic workflows include:
- Collection-based object naming
- High / Low / Cage naming workflows
- Supported material deduplication
- Supported image and shader-group deduplication
- Resource tracking and scene hygiene
Automatic processing can be paused at any time.
Smart Material Deduplication
SceneSanity goes beyond matching .001 names.
Supported materials are compared using their shader structure, properties and resource dependencies, allowing equivalent materials with different names to be detected while meaningful differences remain preserved.
Unsupported or ambiguous cases are skipped instead of being guessed.
Safe Recovery
Automatic cleanup should not mean losing your work.
Supported replaced resources can be retained in Recovery instead of being immediately deleted.
You can restore supported changes, protect important resources, keep materials independent and permanently empty Recovery only when you choose to.
Automatic Production Naming
SceneSanity maintains consistent naming based on your collection structure.
Supported workflows include:
- High / Low / Cage
- HP / LP
- Custom rules and templates
- Custom collection families
- Mesh Data naming policies
- Collision handling
- UCX naming
- Naming preview and history
Move supported objects through your production structure and SceneSanity can keep their managed names consistent automatically.
Production Tools
SceneSanity also includes on-demand tools for:
- Unused materials, images and node groups
- Mesh, UV and transform inspection
- Dependency and library checks
- Rig and driver inspection
- Asset metadata and previews
- Scene snapshots and comparison
- JSON Project Rules
- Folder-wide
.blendscanning - Export preflight
- FBX / GLB workflows
- Diagnostics and self-test
Designed for Complex Blender Projects
SceneSanity separates lightweight background automation from heavier inspections.
Heavy geometry scans, UV analysis, project scanning and export checks run on demand rather than continuously in the background.
No account. No cloud service. No telemetry. No dependency on other add-ons.
Built for Artists Who Work With Large Scenes
SceneSanity is especially useful for:
- Environment Artists
- Game Artists
- Asset Artists
- 3D Generalists
- Hard-Surface Artists
- Kitbash-heavy workflows
- Marketplace asset production
If your Blender projects regularly accumulate hundreds of objects, materials and imported resources, SceneSanity is designed to remove a large amount of repetitive scene maintenance from your workflow.
