SceneVault
Does it work with linked libraries / relative paths?
Versions are saved with Blender’s normal Save As › Copy, so relative paths are remapped exactly as Blender does it. Linked libraries are referenced, not copied.
Does Auto Save Scene replace Blender’s auto-save?
No. Blender’s own auto-save keeps working as usual. SceneVault’s automatic versions are full copies with thumbnails that you can browse and compare.
Can I move the vault to another drive?
Yes: enable Use Custom Directory and pick a folder. Move the existing SceneVault_projects folder there manually if you want to keep old versions.
I restored the wrong version.
Select myfile_last_state in the list and click Restore Scene (A). It holds the state from just before your last restore.
The thumbnail shows a warning icon.
The background render failed. Click Retry Thumbnail. If it fails again, open Window › Toggle System Console; the reason is printed there with a path to the render log. The most common causes are no GPU available for EEVEE in background mode, or a missing camera (switch to Viewport Capture in either case).
The Enable button says “Please save your .blend file first.”
SceneVault stores versions per file name, so the file must be saved at least once.
