I just did a major update for Blender 5.1 

UV unwrap inside and outside for materials updated 6/8/2026

This is not a patch but a true Blender 5 compatible remade addon, with a smaller foot print and clean animation and will be released soon

Installation

  1. In Blender: Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install…

  2. Select the ZIP file and install.

  3. Enable the add-on.

  4. The “Cracks” panel will appear in the N-Panel of the 3D Viewport.
    Note: Turn on Viewport Gizmos so that the crack controls (empties, falloff gizmos) are visible.
    Compatibility note:

  • For Blender versions 4.3+, the new “Cracks UI” is active.

  • For versions 3.3 – 4.2, the Legacy Cracks UI will load. 

  • Version 5 is a Geometry Nodes–driven damage addon that supports multiple crack types and mesh exploded view. Simply place an Empty to target damage—UV unwrap, and material included. Curve and mesh friendly.
