SkyFlow — Procedural Sky & Animated Clouds

Voyde Procedural in Rendering

Which Blender versions and render engines are supported?
SkyFlow requires Blender 5.2 or newer and supports both Cycles and EEVEE.
Are the clouds volumetric?
No. SkyFlow uses three procedural cloud layers projected within the World shader. They create a layered sky appearance, but you cannot fly through them, and large camera translations do not produce cloud parallax.
Are the clouds animated automatically?
Yes. Cloud drift and shape evolution are driven by the timeline. Adjust Wind X / Y and Morph Speed to control their movement. You can also keyframe the controls.
Do I need SkyFlow installed to render a saved scene?
No. Once the setup is created and saved, its nodes and drivers remain inside the .blend file. The scene can animate and render on compatible Blender installations and render farms without the add-on installed.
Do I need to enable Python auto-run?
No. SkyFlow uses simple driver expressions that do not require Python auto-run.
Does SkyFlow replace my World or change my existing lights?
Setup assigns a new SkyFlow World to your scene, while keeping your previous World in the file. It adds a synchronized Sun lamp named SkyFlow_Sun. Other lights are left unchanged.
How many presets are included?
Eight: Fair Weather, Clear Noon, Cirrus Morning, Golden Hour, Sunset Drama, Overcast, Storm, and Blue Hour. Every preset can be customized.
Can I keep my composition when switching presets?
Yes. Enable Keep Sun Direction to preserve sun direction, cloud rotation, and cloud offset when switching presets. Other settings change to match the selected preset.
Do clouds cast moving shadows on the ground?
No. Version 0.1 does not include moving cloud shadows on scene objects. The synchronized Sun lamp provides directional lighting and object shadows.
Does SkyFlow include stars or a night sky?
No. The current version focuses on daytime, sunset, and twilight skies. Blue Hour is the darkest included preset.
Can I edit the shader nodes?
Yes. The SkyFlow node group is available in the World node tree. Rebuild Nodes restores the generated setup while preserving your control values, so save a separate copy before rebuilding if you have edited the internal nodes.
Does SkyFlow use HDRIs or image textures?

No. The sky and clouds are procedural.
