Formats

Format Details
BLEND Native Blender source, internal version marker BLENDER-v402.
FBX Binary FBX 7.4 with skeleton, skinning, shape-key structures, and embedded textures.
OBJ + MTL Static geometry, UVs, and material assignments. No rig or shape keys.
GLB glTF 2.0 with 2 skins, 895 character joints, 55 longboard joints, shape keys, and embedded images.

Materials & Textures

  • 19 material definitions were found in the MTL; 16 are used by the exported character/prop geometry.

  • 29 texture files are included.

  • Texture sizes range from 2048×2048 to 4096×4096, plus one 2720×2696 PNG.

  • Maps include Base Color/Albedo, Normal, Roughness, Metallic, and AO.

  • hat and body textures are connected in GLB/FBX but are not linked in the OBJ/MTL export.

  • shoelace_Normal.png is referenced by the MTL but is not included in textures.zip.

Rig

Character

  • Rig: dog rig_rig

  • 895 joints

  • Includes body, facial, IK/FK, deform, and mechanism bones.

  • Facial controls include jaw, eyelid, eye-aim, cheek, and lip controls.

Longboard

  • Rig: Car Rig

  • 55 joints

  • Includes individually rigged wheels and vehicle mechanism bones.

The naming structure is Rigify-style, but the exact rig-generation method was not independently confirmed.

Shape Keys

Verified shape keys include:

  • left smile X

  • right smile X

  • left smile Y

  • right smile Y

  • left eye

  • right eye

  • Key 7

Additional Key 1 shapes are present on five other meshes.

Animation

No multi-frame animation is included.

The GLB and FBX contain a single static pose keyframe. No walk cycle, idle animation, or other baked action was found.

UV & Geometry

OBJ export:

  • 93,148 vertices

  • 81,519 faces

  • 77,593 quad faces

  • 3,920 triangle faces

  • 69,568 UV coordinates

  • 19 named objects

  • Approximately 95.2% of faces are quads

No LOD structure was identified.

Dimensions & Scale

Combined OBJ bounding box:

  • X: 1.121

  • Y: 2.980

  • Z: 1.986

These dimensions include the character, longboard, and wheels. Real-world scale was not specified.

Customization

The asset can be customized through:

  • Character and longboard rig posing.

  • Facial shape keys.

  • Material and color editing.

  • Supplied texture replacement.

  • Hiding, moving, or removing included props.

Import Workflow

BLEND: Open directly in Blender.

FBX: Import through the FBX importer. Check scale, materials, rig, and shape keys.

OBJ: Keep the .obj and .mtl together and extract textures.zip into the expected texture folder. OBJ contains geometry and UVs only.

GLB: Import as glTF 2.0. Textures are embedded, with the character and longboard rigs included.

Engine Workflow

FBX and GLB can be used as interchange formats for supported engines and DCC applications, but Unity, Unreal, and Godot workflows were not directly tested.

The asset is not advertised as game-ready or engine-optimized.

Compatibility

  • Blender source included.

  • FBX 7.4.

  • OBJ/MTL.

  • glTF 2.0 GLB.

  • Engine-specific materials, retargeting, and performance were not independently tested.

Troubleshooting

Missing OBJ textures: Keep the .mtl beside the .obj and extract the texture archive.

Body or hat textures missing in OBJ: These maps are not connected in the supplied MTL. Use GLB/FBX or reconnect the maps manually.

Shoelace normal missing: shoelace_Normal.png is referenced but not included.

Character appears static: This is expected; only a single pose keyframe is supplied.

Scale looks incorrect: Adjust the import scale because no real-world character measurement was provided.

Quick Start

  1. Extract textures.zip if using OBJ.

  2. Open the .blend in Blender.

  3. Check materials and texture paths.

  4. Select dog rig_rig and enter Pose Mode.

  5. Test the facial shape keys.

  6. Use GLB for the most complete exported rig and texture setup.

Important Notes

The character is a generic stylized cartoon dog design with streetwear clothing and included props. The cigarette and spray-can props are design elements of the model.

All specifications above are based on inspection of the supplied files. Where a detail could not be verified, it has not been presented as a confirmed feature.
