Texture Master
- Blender 5.2 packaged
- Misc
Upgrade Troubleshots:
In case of convert/colors/resize errors after a version upgrade, please disable/enable Texture Master or restart Blender.
What's new since 1.0.3
New features:
- Advanced Select — Scope filter (Scene / Selected / Collection). Pick whether to operate on every scanned texture, only the ones
used by the selected viewport objects, or only the ones used by the active outliner collection (children included). Intersects
with the existing Status / Channel / Format filters.
- Right-click object in 3D viewport → Texture Master: Add / Select Only Textures. Pull every texture an object uses into the
Texture Master selection in one click.
- Right-click collection in Outliner → same two entries, scoped to the collection and its nested children. Studios organising by
collection (Hero / Props / FX) can ship every texture into a Texture Master action instantly.
- Texel-density-aware resize. Pick per-texture sizes from world-space density targets. Worst-consumer policy preserves quality on
shared textures.
- Occlusion channel detection (_AO, _AmbientOcclusion, etc.) recognised in scans + advanced filters.
- ORM-packed channel detection. Single-image AO/Roughness/Metallic packs (glTF / Unreal convention) are now classified as ORM
instead of OTHER.
- channel_packer.pack_orm_arrays — numpy variant of the ORM packer with three layouts, aimed at atlas pipelines and headless
processing.
Bug fixes:
- Case-only rename now updates the file on disk (e.g. myfile.png → MyFile.png). On macOS and Windows the data-block name used to
flip while the file kept its old casing.
- Restore after a case-only rename no longer wipes the file. Same root cause, same fix.
- UDIM tiles + image sequence frames also propagate case-only renames to every file on disk.
