Tide — Blender Asset Round-Trip

SIPPO-STUDIO in Asset Management

Do the linked assets render normally?
Yes. The instance Empties render as ordinary collection instances — nothing special is needed at render time.
Can I use the asset files in other projects?
They are plain .blend files, so File > Link / Append works from any project. Nothing is stored in a proprietary format; transforms.json next to them is a plain JSON record of where each asset was placed.
What happens if I move the whole project folder?
With a relative export folder (the default) everything keeps working, as long as the .blend and the Assets folder move together. If a link does break, Repair Link finds it again — it repairs name drift, searches the export folder for a matching .blend, and even recovers assets from the trash.
What if two people open the same asset at once?
An asset open in another Blender carries an editing marker tracked by process ID, and overwriting, making local, renaming, duplicating and deleting are all blocked while it is alive. Closing that Blender expires the marker automatically, and a crash self-recovers — nothing locks permanently. Simultaneous multi-user editing of one project folder across machines is not a supported workflow.
Which Blender versions does Tide support?

Blender 5.1 only, verified on 5.1.1. Only the version actually tested is declared, so it will not install on other versions. Support for other versions will be added once they are properly verified.
