Timeline Manager

3DMAGIC in Interface

Who makes Timeline Manager?
Timeline Manager is developed by 3dmagic. Support and future updates are handled directly through the developer's Superhive profile.
Is this a subscription?
No. It's a one‑time purchase that includes free lifetime updates.
Which Blender versions and operating systems are supported?
Built on Blender's stable Python API, targeting Blender 3.6 LTS through the current 4.x series, on Windows, macOS, and Linux. If a future Blender release changes something, an update will follow.
What happens once I hit my maximum snapshot count?
With Auto Cleanup on, the oldest snapshots are removed automatically to stay under your limit — you set the ceiling in Preferences, and it never grows past it unless you raise it.
Does restoring a snapshot delete or overwrite my current file?
Restoring opens the chosen snapshot as your active file in Blender. It does not delete anything from disk — if you want to keep what you currently have open, save it under its own name first.
Where do snapshots get stored, and can I move them?
Anywhere you like. Set a custom folder in Preferences — a local drive, an external disk, or a synced folder. A sensible default is set for you out of the box.
Will Auto Snapshot slow down my scene or fight with Blender's own autosave?
No. It runs on its own lightweight timer and only writes a snapshot when your chosen interval has actually elapsed. It doesn't touch Blender's built‑in autosave/preferences — the two run side by side.
Does this replace Blender's built‑in Undo (Ctrl+Z)?

No — think of it as a level below Undo. Ctrl+Z handles the last few actions inside a session; TimelineĀ Manager keeps full, restorable copies of the file itself, so you're covered even after a crash, a close, or a save you regret.
