True Sky A to-scale Earth atmosphere you can fly through.A real atmosphere, no cheat codes. True Sky 3 gives you planet-scale scattering so you can go from street level to lunar orbit in one scene. Lighting and clouds behave exactly how you'd expect, even from below. It's so accurate we once received a strongly worded note, delivered by carrier pigeon, from some very upset flat‑earthers.Scale fidelity1 : 1 Earth radiusAtmosphere depth100 km layered volumeSeamless rangeSurface ↔ PlutoEarly access True Sky 3.0 early access buildFeatures are still moving – but it's ready for real work. This is the first public version of the new True Sky 3.0 core. Features and controls are still evolving, and parts of the addon will change as we respond to real-world production feedback. We're releasing in early access specifically so working artists can shape the tool. If you're happy with a few rough edges, it's already in a brilliant state to start using as your daily driver.Early access pricingThe release price will be $49, including all features. While in early access, we're reducing this by 20% to $39. Once True Sky 3 leaves early access, the price returns to $49. Dial in colours, intensity, and movement for shots that feel like real polar light.Oh, and they're animated.Allow location services?Built-in geo-coordinate and sun-position controls let you set latitude, longitude, time of day, and day of year so the sun's angle and color are physically correct. Use it for accurate light, shadows, and color grading, and animate the controls for timelapses or sequence renders.Multiple cloud layersStack fully 3D Nimbus, Cumulus, Stratus and hero fog volumes in a single scene. True Skytreats each layer as real geometry, so you can mix storm banks, high wisps, and low haze for different looks, all lit by the same physically accurate sky.To the moon and back!Seriously, you can literally go to the moon and back if you want to. Fancy faking the moon landing in the 21st century? Go for it. Need to set up a moon base for a shot? You got it. With fully 3D celestial objects, you can even fly out to Pluto if you wish. The journey back may take some time though. The sky is no longer the limitThe planets have aligned for this one. All nine major bodies in our solar system (yes, Pluto is back in the lineup) are ready to drop into your scenes for super sci-fi renders with a single click.Realtime camera effectsAdd a little extra flare to your renders with realtime custom compositor effects. Sun glints, glows, ghosts and more; just don't overdo the distortion. Volumes are inherently slower than non‑volume skies like Nishita or PSA‑style setups, so you should expect longer render times in exchange for accuracy. While a machine like a MacBook Air can render these scenes, it will be significantly slower than a non‑volume sky. Our personal recommendation is a NVIDIA RTX 20‑series or newer GPU with at least 8 GB VRAM to comfortably handle production presets.AMD GPUs are supported and the more modern 6000‑series cards perform better, but they do not benefit from the OPTIX backend in Cycles. In practice, even a 6900 XT may render slower than an RTX 2080 on the same scene. We do not offer refunds if renders are slower than you would like. That's not something we can control. The goal of True Sky is to be one of the most accurate sky systems for Blender, not the fastest.Does this work in Eevee?+What do I get with the tool?+Can I use it commercially?+Where is the documentation?+Giving backWe love Blender just as much as you! That's why, we donate a portion of every sale to the Blender Foundation.~5%Of each product sale goes directly to the Blender Foundation.100%All TrueVFX products participate in this initiative.$13,000+Already donated by the community supporting TrueVFX.YouEvery artist who uses the tool keeps this cycle going., Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky, Sky ((SECRET STUFF HERE))
