Ultimate Wood Shader — v1.7

71 original wood veneer color scans and a procedural wood workflow, together in one combined Blender add-on. Choose Scanned for photographed grain character or Procedural for editable grain, color and figure.

Select your objects, choose Scanned or Procedural, and press Apply to Selected. Adjust mapping scale and rotation, surface roughness, varnish, paint and weathering from the organized Ultimate Wood panel.

  • Paint and peeling: top paint, base paint and primer; Paint Peel Seed for variation, Edge Softness for transitions, and controls for loss, spread and layer relief.
  • Wear guided by form: realtime cavity masks or baked object-specific masks, mask inspection and level adjustment. Rebake after relevant geometry changes.
  • Surface character: edge wear, wood cracks, moss, stains, dust and other weathering controls, including weathering over paint.
  • Mapping: UV and object-coordinate workflows. Procedural grain and color controls are available in the procedural workflow.

What you receive

One combined Ultimate Wood Shader add-on, the material library, 71 original veneer color scans by Anas KA, written setup instructions and example renders. Showcase scene models are not included.

Getting started

  1. Extract the customer package.
  2. Install Addons/Ultimate_Wood_Shader.zip in Blender and enable Ultimate Wood Shader.
  3. Select your mesh objects, choose a workflow and click Apply to Selected.

Keep the supplied library and scans together. If the library is moved or cannot be found, use the package-location recovery option.

Please note

Scan relief is derived from color brightness; the veneers are not separate measured height or normal scans. Peeling uses shader relief, not detached flakes of geometry. Render performance depends on your scene, hardware and enabled effects. See the included documentation for setup and compatibility.
