1. Install the Add-on

Install VFX Scene Builder like any standard Blender add-on and enable it from Preferences or just drag and drop to viewport!

2. Track & Export from After Effects

Track your footage using After Effects’ 3D Camera Tracker and export the scene data.

3. Build the Scene in Blender

Import the exported data and automatically generate a clean, camera-matched Blender scene.

The add-on reads the background footage and automatically sets FPS, resolution, and timeline range to ensure perfect camera and render alignment.

4. Adjust World Scale and Rotation

Control world scale and rotation to match real-world proportions and camera orientation from your tracked footage.

5. HDRI Setup and Shadow Catcher

Use your own HDRI with a single click and control its settings directly in N-panel!

The add-on also includes a ready-made ground plane shadow catcher material that reflects the background footage for natural shadow integration.
