Layer-Based VFX Management System
Arrange compositor effects and scene effects in the exact order you need. Control the layer hierarchy, adjust the starting point of each effect, and build complex results by stacking multiple layers together.
Combining several simple effects can produce powerful results that would normally require a much longer manual setup.
The management panel also lets you directly select, hide, rename, assign icons, review effect start times, and change timing settings.
You no longer need to search through a crowded scene or manually move keyframes every time you want to adjust when an effect begins.
A Large and Growing VFX Library
VFX Toolkit includes many different effect types, from procedural shaders and Geometry Nodes generators to hand-drawn animation effects and compositor-based screen effects.
The library is designed for animated and static work, stylized and realistic rendering, background effects, scene accents, action sequences, impact effects, and environment VFX.
There are currently around 100+ built-in presets/assets in the VFX Toolkit. Including bundled resources such as the VDB Bundle, the total number of available assets exceeds 370.

Our long-term goal is to build one of the most complete VFX libraries available for Blender. You can also message us with effect requests. Suggestions may be included in future updates.
Trail Effects
Create animated trails that follow the movement path of a mesh. This effect works well for swords, projectiles, fast-moving objects, magical attacks, motion graphics, and stylized action scenes.
Trail effects were originally planned for the first post-release update. Due to strong interest from users on Twitter(X), they were moved forward and included in version 1.0. The initial release contains two presets, with more variations planned shortly after launch.
Hand-Drawn Animation Effects
Every hand-drawn effect in this library was drawn by Casey_Sheep.
Stylized animators often need to draw effects such as flashes, smoke, impact shapes, energy bursts, or speed accents by hand, then create shaders and animation setups before they can use them in a scene.
VFX Toolkit includes a collection of common hand-drawn animations that can be added with one click. You can then control their starting time, color, scale, and other settings without recreating the animation yourself.
Animated VDB Effects
The Bundle integrates content from our separate VDB asset pack, LazyVFX, directly into VFX Toolkit — including 70+ animated VDBs and 200+ static VDBs.
Every animated VDB asset now includes a newly rendered animated preview, allowing you to see its final motion before importing it into your scene.
These effects are ideal for realistic rendering, including looping smoke, fire, large explosions, atmospheric effects, and cinematic destruction shots.
VDB assets can be demanding. Viewport and rendering performance can vary significantly depending on your hardware.

A Growing Library with Free Updates

Updates Created by Casey_Sheep
VFX Toolkit is planned as a continuously growing library. Whenever I create a useful new effect, I plan to add it through future updates.
Updates created and developed by Casey_Sheep for the main VFX Toolkit library will be free for existing VFX Toolkit customers.
Version 1.0 includes approximately 100 presets, plus around 270 VDB effects in the Bundle, for approximately 370 assets in total. VFX Toolkit 2.0 is planned for 2026, with a target of more than 500 assets, followed by further expansion.
Optional DLC Created with Other Artists
We also plan to collaborate with other artists on future DLC expansion packs, bringing new styles and effects created by different specialists.
Since these packs will contain work created by other artists, they will mainly be sold as optional paid DLC so that the collaborating artists can also receive fair compensation.
I will try to include a small selection of collaborative content for free when possible.
The main VFX Toolkit library created by Casey_Sheep will continue receiving free content updates for existing customers without additional fees.

About VFX Toolkit
Blender Compatibility: Supports Blender 4.5 and later, including Blender 5.2.
Render Engines: Most assets support Eevee and Cycles. A small number of assets support Cycles only. You can contact us before purchasing to confirm the compatibility of any specific preset.
Performance: Performance depends on your hardware, scene complexity, viewport settings, and Blender configuration. We cannot guarantee identical performance on every computer.
Complex or resource-heavy effects may reduce viewport performance or require more memory.
Blender Use Only: This product is designed exclusively for use inside Blender. We do not provide support or guarantee compatibility with other software, game engines, or external workflows.
Operating Systems: The add-on has currently been tested only on Windows.
MacOS and other operating system users are welcome to purchase. Please let us know whether the add-on works correctly or if you encounter any errors, as this information helps us improve cross-platform compatibility.
If an operating system compatibility issue cannot be resolved promptly, we will provide a refund within 30 days of purchase.
Animated Asset Browser: The animated preview browser is an experimental feature. It has been tested extensively, but small issues may still occur. Please report any problems so we can continue improving it.

About the Bundle and LazyVFX VDB Pack
If you already own LazyVFX, please do not purchase the Bundle.
Refunds can only be processed for the entire order. For accidental duplicate ownership, we can only provide an equivalent-value coupon as compensation.
File Sizes
Static VDB Library: 5.78 GB
Animated VDB Library: 147 GB after decompression
File sizes may differ slightly across operating systems and storage formats.
LazyVFX VDB assets are compatible only with the Cycles rendering engine and do not support Eevee.
VDB assets require stronger computer specifications. Smooth operation cannot be guaranteed on every computer.
VDB files require significant storage space. An SSD is recommended for faster loading.
The VDB library is still under active development and may contain bugs or imperfections. Please report any issues through SuperHive messages.
About Refunds
Creators are not authorized to issue refunds directly. All refund requests are reviewed and decided solely by the SuperHive marketplace.
Refunds are only considered within 30 days of purchase. Due to the nature of digital products, purchases are not eligible for no-questions-asked refunds.
A refund may be considered only if the product's core functionality (excluding experimental or beta features) is unusable, and either:
