Can I switch between English and Chinese?
Yes. CurveForge includes independent English and Chinese localization. Change the language in the CurveForge add-on preferences without changing Blender's global interface language.
How does the Multi-Hole Surface tool work?
Select an outer closed Curve together with one or more closed curves inside it. The outer curve becomes the surface boundary and the inner curves are preserved as holes. This feature is currently marked Beta; clean planar curves without self-intersections, overlaps, or touching boundaries produce the most reliable results.
Does CurveForge generate quad topology?
CurveForge includes structured quad workflows for supported Sweep, Loft, Patch, Fill, and multi-hole surface cases. Topology depends on the input shape, and very complex, intersecting, or non-planar boundaries may still require manual cleanup.
Can I use a custom profile for Sweep?
Yes. You can use a round profile, a custom closed Curve, or multiple profile sections. Custom and multi-profile sweeps remain linked to their source curves during the live-preview stage.
Can sweep thickness vary along a path?
Yes. In Per-Anchor radius mode, individual Bézier anchors can have different radius values. CurveForge interpolates those values along the path to create a smooth thickness transition.
Can I work with several paths at the same time?
Yes. CurveForge supports multi-path workflows for supported operations. Each source path keeps its own properties and preview, so changing one path does not need to overwrite the settings of another path.
Do source curves remain editable after building geometry?
Yes. Sweep, revolve, loft, and other supported build tools use live previews so you can continue editing the source curves. When you are satisfied, you can bake the result to a regular mesh while keeping the original curve available for further changes.
Can I send edited curves back to Illustrator?
Yes. CurveForge supports a round-trip workflow between Illustrator and Blender. Paths are matched with persistent identity data so edits can update the original Illustrator path instead of creating unnecessary duplicates.
What does the Illustrator Bridge preserve?
The Bridge transfers editable Bézier paths, including anchors, handles, open or closed path state, and supported compound-path relationships. When an existing Illustrator path is updated, CurveForge is designed to preserve its existing fill, stroke, opacity, and appearance settings whenever possible.
Do I need Adobe Illustrator to use CurveForge?
No. All drawing, editing, optimization, and geometry-building tools can be used directly in Blender. Illustrator is only required if you want to use the optional Illustrator Bridge workflow.
How do I install CurveForge?
In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Get Extensions, choose Install from Disk, and select the CurveForge ZIP file. Enable the add-on after installation. You can then find CurveForge in the 3D Viewport sidebar.
What versions of Blender are supported?

CurveForge requires Blender 4.2 or newer. It is also tested with Blender 5.0.1.
