Install
  1. Download the ZIP. If two are offered, take the one for your Blender version.
  2. In Blender: Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install (in Blender 4.2 and later, Install from Disk in the drop-down at the top right), and pick the ZIP.
  3. Tick AnimPal AutoSaver in the list to enable it.
Requirements
  • Blender: 4.0 or newer recommended. It loads on 3.6 and up, but 4.0+ is what gets tested.
What it does not do
  • It does not replace saving your real file. Backups are copies next to your work; your main scene file is still yours to save.
  • It does not recover work from before it was running. Initiate it, or turn on auto-start, and it protects you from then on.
  • It does not touch files it did not create. Cleanup only removes files that match its detection string.
