Bake One Click - Smart Baking & Layered PSD Output
Stop wrestling with bake settings. Bake everything in one click.
Bake One Click is a Blender 5.1+ add-on that turns the tedious
multi-step baking workflow into a single button press. Bake Normal,
AO, Base Color, Roughness, Metallic, and geometric Displacement maps
— all from one panel.
What makes it truly unique is its layered baking mode: bake opaque
and translucent parts of your high-poly mesh as separate layers,
then automatically merge them into a single layered PSD file — ready
to open in any standard PSD-compatible image editor.
Key Features:
- One-Click Standard Baking: Normal, AO, Base Color, Roughness,
Metallic, and geometric Displacement maps.
- Layered Baking Mode (Unique): Perfect for translucent materials
like leaves, cloth, or glass. Outputs a layered PSD with separate
Opaque and Transparent layers, ready for compositing.
- Geometric Displacement Baking: Bakes real displacement detail from
the high-poly mesh using ray casting, exported as 32-bit EXR for
full precision.
- Smart Material Handling: Works with any Principled BSDF material.
Automatically disables emission during bake and restores the node
graph afterwards.
- Independent Displacement Settings: Displacement has its own cage
extrusion and max ray distance, so you can fine-tune it separately
from the other maps.
- Pure Python, No Binaries: Fully open source. No compiled binaries
or external dependencies.
- Open Source: Licensed under GPL-3.0-or-later. Full source code is
publicly available on GitHub.
